Earth Day

Earth Day is a day when we humans are supposed to do something good for the Earth. In recent years, on Earth Day, the country would usually set a time or maybe this can occur internationally, and during this time, everyone will switch off their lights for an hour to reduce the usage of electricity. This will then reduce the energy used and thus reducing carbon emission to reduce global warming.

Earth day is on 22Th of April. I doubt that Malaysia will do anything about it even though the government do talk about saving the environment. I doubt that my parents would let me switch off the lights and electrical appliances for an hour except if they are not at home.

Dear Earth, I wish you good luck. Sad to say, people are still asleep, not knowing that danger is coming closer.

As a person who cares for the Earth, I feel like dooms day is coming very soon if most of us are still sleeping.

  1. For people who want to make changes one step at a time (which is realistic) - paper plates can be substituted with biodegradable, all natural palm leaf dinnerware. Your parents may not want the lights turned off for an hour, but maybe you can talk them into taking a night off doing the dishes or at their next BBQ using Palm Leaf dinnerware instead of paper or plastic plates. It's available online at MarxFoods.com.
